There aren't a bunch of big names on the list of trialists that the Rhinos announced this morning.
And one name that some fans are already wondering why it's not there is former trialist Vincenzo Bernardo.
Rhinos head coach Bob Lilley is scheduled to appear on tomorrow's edition of Kick This!, so I'm sure that the training camp roster will be a hot topic for discussion.
Also on the show will be Rhinos owner Rob Clark to discuss the off the field state of the team and the stadium heading into 2010 and new Rhinos defensive midfielder Jonathan Greenfield who is currently playing indoors with the Baltimore Blast.
News & Notes:
- Former Rhino Greg Howes is #9 on the Top 25 USL-1 players of the decade.
- USL Live has some video from yesterday's announcement in Orlandoin regards to Steve Donner's return to the USL.
- Everton teammate Johnny Heintinga wants Landon Donovan to stay and it appears that a deal is being worked on. I hope a deal gets done that Landon can stay with Everton through the World Cup. But, I'm not invested in MLS or the LA Galaxy.
- With Don Garber talking up EPL investment in MLS and rumors starting up that Manchester City might want to invest in MLS, this look at the situation made me laugh.
- If this is what Philadelphia's stadium looks like now , will it be ready sometime in 2010?
- Charleston signed another former Rhino in Amaury Nunes.
- Minnesota has signed an assistant coach and a player-coach , along with former Thunder defender Kyle Altman.
- Tampa Bay has signed MF Stanley Nyazamba formerly of the Columbus Crew.
- Carolina has signed a forward from Northern Ireland in Tommy Stewart.
- KC & St Louis will play a couple of pre-season games against each other.
