The MLS Super Draft is upon us and the trades are already happening.
DC United has sent the 7th pick, midfielder Fred, and allocation money to Philadelphia for the right to grab former DC United GK Troy Perkins via the top slot in the allocation order.
SBI.net is saying that the Red Bulls have sent picks 31 & 34 to New England for a player that is to be announced after he is notified.
No Short Corners is one spot on the internet that will be covering the Super Draft like white on rice.
News & Notes:
- Richmond has re-signed Matthew Delicate & Chris Carrieri for 2010.
- Montreal has picked upTyler Hemming from Charleston and re-signed Leanardo Di Lorenzo.
- Columbus has re-signed Schelotto per Fake Sigi. The Crew should have been lambasted if this didn't happen.
- I love to hate on Jason Kreis as much as the next Rochester soccer fan, but I have to agree with Steve Davis on this one.
- Apparently some people in Mexico don't find the Landon Donovan lottery ticket commercial all that funny.
- But Landon has bigger things to look forward to right now......
