On Wedneday, July 19th the USL 1st Division All-Stars will take on English club Sheffield Wednesday. The game will be broadcast live on Fox Soccer Channel.
And yesterday the league unveiled the All-Star roster and it included 3 Rhino players and Laurie Calloway will be the assistant coach.
Goalkeeper Scott Vallow, defender Frankie Sanfilippo, and midfielder John Ball were all named to the All-Star team. A couple of ex-Rhinos were also named to the team in Montreal defender Gabe Gervais and Virginia Beach forward Greg Simmonds.
Casey Zimny starts her holiday weekend out right helping the Rhinos defeat Sudbury 5-0
Rochester native Casey Zimny was back in town for the holiday weekend, so she decided to suit up for the Rhinos in their match on Friday evening and will play again on Monday when they take on the Toronto Lady Lynx.
Mavis Danso had her 6th and 7th goals in the last 3 games, Rachel Kruze had two goals (and should have been awarded a PK late in the match), and Zimny set up Kruze on one of her goals. But, my player of the match was Belinda Kanda who ended the night with a goal, an assist, at least one post, and a boatload of dangerous scoring chances.
