The US-England game may have been the most hyped game ever in USMNT history. But, this might be one of the toughest as the US has to re-focus on a Slovenia team that has the ability to slow a match down and get a result.
The US needs three points tomorrow. They also could use a few goals to help their goal differential in the event that the US and England both win out and the winner of the group (and the team that doesn't have to face Germany in the Round of 16) will come down to goal differential over the last two games.
This game has the ability to be a good one or a really ugly one.
News & Notes:
- You have to love how Tim Howard , Run DMB , and the rest of the USMNT are responding to the smack talk from Slovenia.
- Gooch is looking good , Ricardo Clark is looking forward to the match, and Maurice Edu has some love for the fans.
- The Free Beer Movement has another post from their rep in South Africa.
- Who knew the day would come that a European team would look to the US for tips to win a World Cup match. Does that mean that American soccer has arrived on the world stage?
- If you were wondering what ever became of Daniel Antunez, here you go.
- The Offside Rules is loving the temporary home for the Vancouver Whitecaps in 2011.
