Montreal drops out of MLS expansion race

Don Garber announced in his state of the league address that Montreal has dropped out of the bidding for an expansion team because the group that includes Montreal Impact owner Joey Saputo were unsure that they could raise the money needed to meet MLS's expansion fee asking price.
Garber also mentioned that Ottawa blew MLS away.
It's going to be very interesting to see how this affects the USL 1st Division moving forward.
