The swine flu outbreak has caused CONCACAF to end the U-17 Championships early.
I wonder if that is the reason for the slow soccer news day?
News & Notes:
- MLS Daily has their latest attendance figures up. Only 5 of the 14 returning teams have improved attendance over last season. There are also 5 teams that are 24%+ worse than 2008.........
- Apparently former Toronto FC head coach John Carver felt that he had too many restraints from MLS and that is why he pulled the chute. Basically, MLS didn't like Carver publicly calling out the refs.....
- Jonah Freedman at SI.com has a nice Q&A with Kasey Keller who has yet to allow a goal against so far this season.
- Steve Davis' latest at MLSNet.com calls out some strange happenings in MLS this season.
- The Minnesota Thunder will have a huge beer garden called the Thunder Lounge this year. Pretty cool.
- The where should Miami FC play their home games debate is on!
